The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a special mission to preach the good news of salvation to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people (Revelation 14:6). In reaching people from various backgrounds, we are reminded that “lessons must be given in the language of humanity” (The Desire of Ages, p. 34). For this reason, the General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department has initiated the Reaching & Winning series of courses on world religions.
Though it isn’t easy to describe a clear identity for Pentecostalism, this guide will discuss topics such as their distinguishing characteristics and some of their major organizations and ministries.
This course is designed to be taught in four classes. Each class is planned to be between one and a half to two hours in length, including small-group sessions. It may also be studied personally.
